A clearer plan starts here.

Choose your assumptions, then build a result. The method and options to download or print will appear here.

Estimates and general guidance only—not a professional acoustic measurement or a guaranteed noise reduction. Keep ventilation, alarms and escape routes functional. Seek qualified advice before building alterations.

Behind the result - No mystery in the method

The output combines a core observation list with prompts for the chosen noise concern, room, timing and permission context. No acoustic score or reduction percentage is assigned. Checklist ticks remain in current-page memory. Download text reads the tick state when you click it; printing uses the current result. Changing inputs removes the previous result so that an old list cannot be mistaken for the new scenario. Optional notes are displayed as your reminders and do not alter the rules.

This tool does not measure real decibels, fetch live prices or guarantee a specific noise reduction. Blank optional fields are omitted. Text is displayed literally, not interpreted as HTML.

Change inputs to explore another scenario. The old result is cleared when an input changes. Download text creates a local copy; Print / Save PDF uses your browser. Review notes before sharing and delete copies you no longer need.

Before you go

Does a completed list certify that a room is soundproof?

No. It records your own reminders only. No inspection, measurement, building approval or performance test occurs. Use suitable professional evidence when a real assessment is needed.

Should I seal every opening to reduce sound?

No. Ventilation openings, combustion-air paths, alarms, drainage openings and escape routes can be essential. Do not block or modify them. Have a qualified person assess changes to fire doors, building services or construction.

Can I save or share the checklist?

Yes. Download text includes current ticks, and Print / Save PDF opens browser printing. Review notes for personal information first. These copies are controlled by your device and whoever you choose to share them with.

Are my checks saved automatically?

No. The tools do not intentionally persist answers or ticks. Refreshing or leaving normally clears the working view, although browser restoration and autofill may behave independently.
