Behind the result - No mystery in the method
Rules are applied in a fixed priority order. Any Yes or Unsure for immediate danger produces safety-first guidance. Otherwise any Yes or Unsure for flooding or sewage produces urgent professional guidance. Otherwise Yes or Unsure for several affected fixtures or repeated clogs prompts professional review. Only all No answers reach a routine-advice branch, which is not an assurance of safety. A Yes or Unsure chemical answer always adds a no-further-products warning, and never downgrades another warning. No symptom combination is used to identify a hidden pipe defect or to promise that DIY work is safe.
The tool does not fetch live prices, diagnose a hidden sewer problem or book a service. Blank optional fields are omitted. Text is displayed literally, not interpreted as HTML.
The result is a working note. Review it before use; changing an input clears the previous result. A download stays on your device until you delete it. This website cannot assess conditions behind walls or underground.
Before you go
Does a lower-priority result mean it is safe to wait?
No. The result cannot see the site or rule out danger. If the situation is changing, you are uncertain, or you cannot avoid exposure, move away and obtain qualified advice. Any immediate danger belongs with emergency services, not this website.
What should I do if chemicals were already used?
Do not mix or add products, try to neutralise them, plunge a drain or dismantle plumbing where chemicals may remain. Keep away from fumes and tell the responding professional which product was used. For suspected poisoning in the US, contact Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222; call 911 for immediate danger.
Can the tool send a plumber to my home?
No. It has no dispatch, booking or monitored emergency form. Contact a qualified provider directly and confirm any arrangements with that provider. The website contact email is for tool feedback, not urgent assistance.
Should I enter my address or a photograph?
No. The tool does not request an address, upload, name or contact number. Answer from a safe location using information already known; do not approach a hazard to collect more information.
