Behind the result - No mystery in the method
The checklist prioritises the entered danger, flooding and sewage answers before considering multiple fixtures or repeated clogs. Yes or Unsure for immediate danger triggers safety-first guidance. Flooding, suspected sewage or already-observed backflow triggers urgent professional help. Multiple fixtures or returning clogs trigger prompt professional review; uncertainty is handled conservatively. Chemical-use answers add a warning without reducing urgency. An already-observed backflow selection also escalates guidance even if other answers are No. Behavior does not identify the cause, location or severity of a blockage. Checklist ticks are local reminders, not completed professional inspections.
The tool does not fetch live prices, diagnose a hidden sewer problem or book a service. Blank optional fields are omitted. Text is displayed literally, not interpreted as HTML.
The result is a working note. Review it before use; changing an input clears the previous result. A download stays on your device until you delete it. This website cannot assess conditions behind walls or underground.
Before you go
Does “diagnosis” identify the blocked pipe or cause?
No. Similar signs can have different causes. No camera inspection, flow test or physical examination occurs. A qualified professional must assess hidden problems; the checklist simply organises information you already have.
Should I test every fixture to get a better answer?
No. Do not create additional water flow, expose yourself to wastewater or open plumbing to complete this checklist. Select Unsure if the information is not safely available. Stop using affected fixtures if that can be done without approaching a hazard.
Can I use the completed checklist as a safety clearance?
No. A tick records your own reminder only. It does not confirm that the area is safe, that a clog has cleared or that a sewer problem has been ruled out.
Are notes and ticks saved?
They are held only in the working page, not intentionally stored by the tools. Refreshing or leaving normally clears them; browser restoration may behave differently. Downloaded and printed copies remain with you.
